Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Froogle Solutions collects through frooglesolutions.com, why we collect it and what we do with it. "We", "us" and "our" mean Froogle Solutions. If you have any questions, email hello@frooglesolutions.com.
Who is responsible for your information
Froogle Solutions is the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us at hello@frooglesolutions.com.
What we collect
- When you contact us or send an order request: your name, business name, email address, phone number (if you give it), your message and any links you include, such as your Google review link.
- When you buy from us: your order details and delivery address. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you create an account: your email address, your name (if you give it) and a securely scrambled version of your password. We never store your actual password.
- When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and a Google account ID. We do not get access to your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
- When you register a card: your business name, the platform you choose and the link the card opens.
- When someone taps or scans a card: we count the tap and record the time. We do not record who tapped it.
- Security information: to stop abuse, such as repeated wrong passwords, we keep a short-lived record linked to your IP address. These records expire within an hour.
Why we use it
- To reply to your questions and handle your orders (to take steps you ask for before a contract, and to fulfil it).
- To run your account and make your cards work (to provide the service you signed up for).
- To keep the site and accounts secure (our legitimate interest in protecting our service and customers).
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping sales records for tax.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted services to run the site. They only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores account and card data.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Web3Forms delivers contact form and order request messages to our inbox.
- Microsoft 365 runs our email.
- Google provides "Continue with Google" sign-in, and the Albert Sans font used on the site, which your browser loads from Google.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed for the site to work: one keeps you logged in to your account. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site also remembers, for the length of your visit, that you've seen the opening animation.
How long we keep it
- Account and card information: while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it within 30 days.
- Messages and order requests: up to 2 years, so we can help with any follow-up.
- Sales records: as long as the law requires (usually 6 years in the UK).
- Login sessions: up to 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or ask us to limit how we use it. To do any of these, email hello@frooglesolutions.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to help first.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell account holders by email.
